 After being directed towards Monacor by Scorpion, I have been looking for posts about actual use. It appears several of their drivers dont have some of the large peaks or dips found in several other drivers out there in use, nor the high cost (especially FR) so wondering if there was something I missed about them. Quality or Sound issues?
 Scorpion has pointed out a new 8" that looks pretty nice,add a tweeter and simple x-over maybe allowing the natural roll-off of the driver before the tweeter comes in? Like the Hemptone 8" ER w/o the price.
 If someone would direct me to some thoughts or posts (reviews) about them I would appreciate it.

I own four pairs of Monacor drivers and am very happy with them. Their value/price ratio looks excellent to me. But one has to admit, that many of their response diagrams are smoothed quite heavily. They show what you hear, and not what you would measure.
