These have low hours and are as-new condition with boxes, manual and speaker socks.  The upgrades were done by an audio engineer in NY who specializes in modding speakers - they could have (and should have!) come this way from the factory.  The mods are simple and elegant - he completely replaced the tweeters with the venerable Morel MDT-30 tweeter and re-did the crossover with Jantzen cross-caps (setting the crossover down @ the 2 Khz point instead of the factory setting at 2.5 Khz).  The tweeters cover a lot of audible range and relieve the 6.5 inch midrange cone of some of the upper-mids responsibility.  Translation - the tweeter replacement with the Jantzen cross-caps completely opens up the midrange on these babies, but maintains the original characteristics of the speaker - warm, punchy and involving.  Why am I looking to sell?  My 15 watts is driving these just ok, but not great and i am looking into something more efficient.  I think anything with 30 watts or more (which is what I originally heard them with) would be a perfect match with these.  Would love a local sale in the NYC area.  They are the beatiful Satin Palisander Wood finish - I will try to post pictures tonight.  Will consider trade for above average efficiency speakers

Would love to have these. If I can sell my LS's, I'll be calling.

Yea, I tried to shoe horn the LS's in a space that I should have known wouldn't be very good for them. The SLS's would do fine. The palisander would match my sub too. Plus, I would have the down payment for my new truck!
