Manufacture of the Reference 3.1 ($3300/pr suggested retail) has been discontinued and is to be replaced by the Reference 3.5 (estimated price $6,000). The 3.5 looks identical, except for having outrigger feet, I am sure that the 3.5 will be a better performing speaker because of various refinements, but I doubt that it has been improved enough to justify going from $3300 to $6000.
The final production run of 3.1s is sitting in Gallo's warehouse, and when it's gone that's the end. What they have is the version with black finish on everything. I have a pair on hand for demo in my home in mid-county. Just call me, Wylie Williams, at 314-692-2230 for an appointment.
I am selling (by special order) the 3.1 for $2260 a pair, plus tax. This is a lower price than any internet price, and is from an authorized dealer, The Speaker and Stereo Store.
