Should I buy the Anti-mode 8033?
« on: 13 Apr 2009, 01:29 am »
I have a little birthday money to spend, so I'm just wondering if there is any reason why the DSPeaker Anti-mode 8033 isn't the best audio-related way to spend it.  I'm essentially happy with the bass, but this seems like it might make a worthwhile improvement.

Here's my plan.  My preamp has two pairs of outputs.  I plan to build an y connector with resistors to the single input of the 8033, and use the single (theater) line-level input to the Titan XL.  Good plan?

I haven't had a chance to try the 8033, but it looks like an effective tool at a reasonable price.

However, I DON'T recommend the Theater Input, it rolls off the low frequencies. Use either the right or left, doesn't matter and they both offer greater extension.

Thanks, Mr. Dzurko, I had forgotten about the LF rolloff for the theater input.   It's a good think I asked.
