Hi Jack,
What's the tweeter to floor height with the stands and the pedestals? Will 28" stands be too high for a normal seated listening height?
Albert adviced me to fix a stand at 51 cm.
With a little tilt by turning the spikes up at the front you can beam the tweeters into the right direction.
Depend on the seat you sit in. 28'' Will be to high due to the lost of bass.
The Unie's sounded fantastic on the custom made stands of hardstone at our show. Several times I had to close the door because the room got 'overcrowded'. Even with forty people inside of the room (70m2) the system was still making music at very high level. Often people were coming close to the speakers to listen which speaker was sounding, the small Unifield or the large VR 5 SE. Impressed they got back to their chair noticed this intelligent monitor did the job. Amazing!
So the best you can use is a stand at 51 cm at 50 kg weight.
Good luck.
