Merlin VSM-MMes in beautiful condition with no scratches, dents, or dings I can find on the cabinets anywhere and perfect drivers. Great reviews everywhere for the VSM series, and Bobby feels that the VSM-MMe is better in many respects than the VSM-MX that is a current Stereophile Class A and Bound for Sound Component of exceptional merit.
I cannot say enough about these speakers and how much I have enjoyed them with both solid state and tubed equipment and I own both to enjoy with them - they sound great with higher powered and even small tubed amps. I baby my equipment and picked these up at the house of the original owner and even drove them myself to Merlin for the lead-free upgrade, both to avoid shipping. $3,875 or best offer (includes the dual op super bam that is a $1,650 upgrade over the standard rca only).
Bobby and team just did the lead-free upgrade to these speakers about 6 weeks ago, just before my wife and I moved to a very nice, but tiny one bedroom, historical home. I am reluctant to sell the VSM-mmes, but because the new home only allows a listening distance of about 4 feet unless I move a large couch every time I listen (which I have been doing), I will be selling most all of my system and downsizing to a nearfield setup.
When we move I plan on moving back to Merlin - hopefully the MXe's in the great green finish!
