I need to raise some funds for my new fancy and since I have a set of Musical Fidelity A5 (integrated and CD player) that I don't currently use I put them up for sale.
$1500 each if purchased separately or $2700 as a pair (which is what I would recommend as they are made to be together).
They are both in excellente shape; I'd rate them 9 on Audiogon. Just a tiny ding on the right handle of the CD player (pictures to come).
Both have received great reviews (that's why I bought them before falling into audio reviewing myself) and they remain tremendous pieces of equipment 4 years later.
The A5 CD player is an upsampling player with tube output, great resolution and very nice tonal precision. the A5 amplifier is a 250 watt/ channel affair that I have not been able to put on its knees even with very demanding loads. Also finely resolved with a touch of warmth. I was planning on saving it for a second system but a new pre-amp is crying for somebody to buy it.
I have boxes, manual, remotes for both.
I'll cover pay-pal fees, shipping if necessary is at buyer's expense - local pick-up is also OK (and I can drive part of the way). I'll accept money orders as well but won't ship until money order has cleared, so pay-pal is definately prefered.
