Howdy folks:

I noticed that the photo's here on Audiocircle are very small in size and am wondering about what program is best for making small size jpegs?

Thanks,

I simply use the export command in iPhoto whenever I need to downsize a jpeg for uploading to AC or elsewhere on the web (File > Export).

Thanks Crimson:

Tried that and it made a 36 kb file from a picture using medium setting, resulting in a 200 pixel square photo.

Yet on this site and on one other, I find jpegs, about 2 to 3 kb in size. Nice and small.

That is the golden secret I am after.

By setting both Quality and Size to small, I reduced a 2Mb 3008x2000 file to a 320x213 picture at 8kb. If you select Custom in the Size field, you can further reduce it.
