There is no circle for one-channel and I already posted in vinyl, though techincally victrola recordings are not vinyl anyway but shellac. Regardless, nobodys hitting over there so here I go... Does anyone have/use one? I kinda got the bug because my sister scored one for 50 bucks at an auction and because she always has a big christmas shindig I got her a bunch of old 78 christmas music and a new jeweled needle. After doing some research they say the old steel ones need to be replaced like after every disc and they really contaminate the disc so I got her a diamond one that fits the old victrolas. It sort of wet my appetite for preserving and honoring that sort of historic recording that is forgotten. To make a long story short, I got the bug and think I need one to run during dinner parties and the like so my question is..What do I look for? The brass horns? Wood horns? Table top? Free standing cabinet?
