Room Treatments

Danny,

You clearly have a great grasp of how to make your speakers sound incredible. :thumb:  But what should I do to make your speakers sound incredible in my dedicated Listening/HT room?

Here is my basic information: Room dimensions are 10x15 no windows side door entry.  The speakers will be your AV/3 Neo's for LCR (identical sealed enclosures) and twin OB Subs.  Unsure on the surrounds.

Some of my thoughts are:
1). Use 2" x 6" studs with double dry wall construction w/ blown denim insulation
2). Carpet with std pad
3). Make the corners non square i.e. a stretched octagon and treat the diagonals for sub-bass
4). Get an acoustically transparent screen and treat the area behind it with absorption and or diffusion
5). Save wood floor scraps for diy diffusion material
6). Make DIY absorption using Corning Hard Fiberglass

Where should I concentrate my efforts?  What am I missing?
Should I plan on treating all 1st reflection locations? Left/Right/Ceiling?
Should I treat as much of the front wall as possible?
Where should I deploy reflection/refraction?
I will have access to a trim carpenter for a few hours so I can do just about anything, once!!

Any help is appreciated!  aa

Cheers,
Robert

You might try posting this in the acoustics circle.
