I saw them yesterday at the Empty Bottle in Chicago with my 19 year old daughter. Two groups opened, then the main act. Field Music is made up of the Brewis brothers. One brother put out School of Language as a solo project, the other just did The Week That Was.
This was a wonderful show, four members: lead/rhythm guitar, bass, keyboards, drums. Incredibly tight playing, wonderful harmonies (the drummer bro is a founding member of Futureheads). They played the whole TWTW solo album plus a couple of additional FM tunes. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands (me included). Very little chatter even during the quiet numbers, they demanded everyone's attention that well (ever notice how NOISY concerts are nowadays??? Can't people just stay at HOME if they have to constantly talk with their friends on their cell phones??).
10 bucks. A great experience. We stood right up at the stage...
