Thanks Monolith! I just received my pair of Marble 4.0s via Fed Ex ground - three days from ship to delivery, with barley a scratch on the boxes!

They are much smaller than my 9.0s, and lighter! Of course 9.0s are 80lb monsters! They were very cold, we have had 15*F nights here.

They look great and I have tested them. I will have to spend more time with them later in the week.

Thanks to Monolith for a real effort to pack them properly. He order heavier boxes, trimmed the boxes to reduce volume, used heavy insulating foam, and instapac expanding foam packs. Packing and shipping were prices were expensive, but what can you do with 25lb marble drums with tweeter pods?

They sounded great in the few minutes that I had to test them and I am really looking forward to integrating them into one of my systems. They will probably be my surround speakers in my HT.

I believe the woofer is a 5" Vifa driver, not sure about the tweeter, I think it is Vifa also. I will research it, but here is the old nOrh section on the 4.0

Right now I have four ceramic 4.0s for rear/surround matched up with Swan 6.1, Swan C3 and dual MFW15 subs.  I'd really like to find some sm 6.9s or marble 4.0s to use somewhere in my house.

I'll see what I have for pics   I own 10 ceraminc 4.0s and have had them in a few different configurations over the years.  Too many speakers and not enough rooms in the house.  Of course I still want to adpot more nOrhs.

Thanks   Nothing compared to your nOrh collection though.  No I haven't on the ones I bought new or used.  Is there a reason I should?

Just out of curiosity - I will probably check mine out - they have screws, not sure yours do?

Yeah four screws to hold the woofer in.  I haven't taken them out, just tightened them once or twice as they loosened with use.
