Am I correct in my computation?
« on: 2 Mar 2009, 03:43 pm »
to use 1.4uF capacitor in series with Fostex ft96H used as supertweeter (impedance 8ohms) if I want x-over point to be 14khz? using First order as this is simpler and easier to implement? I will use L-PAd with it to tune the loudness. TIA

Yes, your maths is correct ... if the Fostex ft96H really is 8ohms then a 1.4uF series cap will deliver a 6dB/octave slope with a -3dB point of 14Khz.
