For Sale:

http://www.hawthorneaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=769&p=8726&hilit=tomekz#p8726

These were the last pair of speakers I made--about two years ago. Hard to believe. In the few years prior, I've made 50 pairs of zHorn. My interests in life moved on to other things http://www.audio-resolution.com/zhorn

My intention with this design was a speaker that disappears. Open baffle do this so well, and with a minimal baffle, an open baffle disappears exceedingly well.

I've many speakers, too many. I need to lighten my load in life. And pay the rent.

Also selling some back horns Dakini style for 4 inch drivers (I've Radio Shake FE103 1197); zHorn Heruka with 6.5 inch Fostex; folded open baffles with Visaton B200; Pawo backhorn with FR125s.

Asking $485. PayPal okay.

Hi Tom, can you provide some more details about this speaker, as in the driver type & size and it's power handling capabilities? Thanks and you have some nice looking horns on your website also. :thumb:

Cheers,
Robin

 :lol: Thanks for all that good info Tom but I find it interesting(and funny) that you would mention nearfield listening cuz that's the first thing I pictured myself doing when I looked at your picture. I could just see myself planted on the floor about 4' in front of these full-range 15" beauties. Now that would be fun indeed, especially with their high power handling capabilities. :rock:

Good luck with your sale and thanks again for sharing. :D Here's a picture from the rear,

Cheers,
Robin

Note: on the back is Plasti-Clay. It damps the metal vibrations. I can easily be peeled of if it looks too ugly. But it helps.

Asking $450

~~~~~~~~
Also I've some lovely (Walnut Burl, inlay, amber shellac) Back Horns for use of a 4 inch driver: Fostex 108 or 126 or 103. I've some Radio Shake versions of the FE 103. E-mail for photos. These with FE 103 (1197) can be gotten for $180.
Packaged, these two cabinets will fill a single two foot square carton. Shipped anywhere in the continental states will total under five C notes. No other speaker, none of my fullrange Fostex 8 inch or 6.5 inch etc, nor the Visaton b200, play with as much effortless ease in my 13x23 foot living room. Alas, I'm moving to a smaller space.
Not evident in the pictures is the fact that these have a built in tilt so as to be aimed up to a seated listener.
