Eric, thats a very generous offer makes a construction job for folks like me with only a minimum of tools much easier and increase's our accuracy. I'll be in touch once I finalize the next build.  BTW, the Neo2x baffles you supplied are now making music.

That's great Eric,   :D

That will save people time for one set, and lots of time if they are going to make multiple sets.  There is nothing worse than spending all that time and money only to find that one of your tweeters is 1/8" further away from your midwoofer than the other.  ugh...  Templates are a great way to avoid that.   :duh:

I have two friends who are contemplating making speakers with GR drivers so I will keep these in mind.  Actually, they want ME to make them but I am too busy. :?

Hi Guys,

I made up some "EZ-Templates" hoping that this will take some of the variables out of your speaker building equations. You simply use your router(s) with a flush-trim/pattern bit and you will get perfect results every time! Layout and alignment is all taken care of. I can make these for any GR kit, the images are the new NEO 3. Price is $45 and includes (2) templates; one for the through cuts on the woofers, one for the flush cuts on the planar tweeters.

Here's how they work:

1. Cut your baffles to size.

2. Place the template on the baffle (with carpet tape) they register to the top of the baffle and to the sides perfectly.

3. Drill through the baffle using a paddle bit to remove as much material as possible, and to give yourself a place to start your router.

4. Insert router and press play.

It couldn't get much easier, unless you had a couple of CNC machines...

Hope this helps you get closer to enjoying the music on your new GR Speakers!

If that was general question for the group, I prefer bearing guided bits myself.
