Hi Patrick:
I can't comment on the de Capos with the Sig 30.2 integrated as I started with the Sig 30.2 power amp driven by a Squeezebox Duet. I have since packed away the Squeezebox and upgraded to an Isabella (playing uncompressed AIFF files from iTunes via an iMac and USB). The Isabella is a major improvement over the Squeezebox.
The de Capos are very revealing so they need good electronics and good stands. I've had the Isabella for about 5 weeks and it's still breaking in, but even at this point, I am very happy with the setup. Some people complain that the de Capos have a tendency to be too aggressive in the treble and I found that to be perhaps true with my original electronics (Cambridge 840 integrated) but certainly not with the RWA. Since tubes are often recommended for de Capos, I auditioned an Acoustic Masterpiece tube integrated before the RWA. It was good, but the RWA offered everything the tubes did along with much tighter bass (albeit at a higher price point for the Isabella/Sig 30.2). I'm getting a nice, full, smooth sound, very detailed yet not fatiguing. I would describe the de Capo/RWA system with terms like clarity, lively (as in life-like) and quiet (no electronic harshness and no noise or hiss between songs).
A couple of other comments...the Sig 30.2 drives the de Capo i to very LOUD levels so no need to be concerned about power ratings. And think about ordering some custom stands for your de Capos from Noel at Skylan Manufacturing in Calgary. Finally, a shoutout to Neil at Off The Grid Audio in Toronto for his advice on putting my system together and to Vinnie for the RWA products. These three guys know what they are doing and are great to deal with.
If you need any other information, feel free to ask.
Regards,
Dan.
