I have an ESound E5 CD Player for sale. It is very good, replaced an Ayre CX-7e in my system. It held its own, and with an external RAKK DAC it may be a little bit better.
The transport is outstanding, actuallt better than the CX-7e's, The RCA outputs are very transparent sounding, Very 'Class A' sounding, smooth, refined, easy to listen to, gobs of detail without being harsh. The XLR outputs are not good however. Add a transformer and make your analog output that way.
The player weighs over 25 lbs and is built like a TANK.
I think they originally sold in the 700-900 range. I bought this one about a year and a half ago. It has some scratches on top, the face is perfect though.
