I see this thread started in early Feb.  As to cable lengths, that has been addressed.  If you are still shopping for the phono preamps on your list, I own the Jolida JD 9A and can't say enough good about it.  It is very versatile for settings of most cartridges and tubes and vinyl are always a good thing.  After a few hours of burn-in, it sounds better than anything at its price point that I have heard.  YMMV.

When a choice can be made, choose shorter IC's and longer speaker cable.  I have read some audiophools prefer it the other way around....but I cannot wrap my brain around any other but the obvious electrical realities of IC vs. speaker cable to recommend anything else.  But, ultimately again, what sounds best to you IS best :thumb:

Enjoy, John

like all things in our hobby, synergy with respect to ALL of our components will bring out the best. While I tend to gree with alot of what John says in 'general terms' those of us running 'Stats' have a whole different animal to deal with. Note Roger Sanders attached White paper....
