Santa was very good to me, delivering this splendid box set.
Excellent playing, great music, and well recorded from a legendary guitar player/song writer.
It covers releases throughout Peter's entire career, including with: John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Eddie Boyd, Looners, Duster Bennett, Otis Spann, Walter Horton, Peter Bardens, Splinter Group, and solo.
Although half-way into disc three Peter's voice starts to wane, he still sings well. And his music continues to progress throughout. Always great music when Peter is involved. Highly recommended.

They could have cut it by at least one disk and the packaging could be better but it's still a fine box. Peter Green was phenomenal before his demons got the best of him. Pick up the Fleetwood Mac "Vaudeville Years" set as a companion just for the "Madge Sessions" jam (which was excerpted and edited on "Then Play On").

Jim, Gotta agree with you on the packaging. Hate it to pieces. As a matter of fact I have pieces floating about inside the plastic holders as they've broken off already. Argghhhh!!
