For over two years now we have been custom building crossovers and tweaking the Acoustic Zen Adagio loudspeakers. Due to some recent changes in component availability and pricing as well as consumer inquiries we have made some changes and provided a few more options for the EXtreme Adagio.
Starting immediately, we are now using all Erse inductors throughout the crossovers. The low pass filter uses Erse Perfect Lay air core pieces for a clean, fast, tight presentation.
There are now options for the high pass filter capacitors (directly in the signal path). You now have your choice of SoniCap Gen I capacitors with Platinum Teflon bypass, Mundorf Silver/Oil or the ModWright OIMP & Teflon capacitors that have always been used in the past and received the exceptional professional review and consumer feedback.

Over Adagio loudspeakers. The EXO units use custom umbilical cords to connect the crossover to the speaker cabinet. Neutrik Speak-On connectors are used at both ends to provide a secure, safe connection.
Both new systems as well as modifications to consumer supplied speakers are available. Available for audition in our New York facility starting in January 2009 will be a pair of Extreme EXO Adagio floorstanding speakers with the SoniCap crossover. As time allows, I will have all three x-over versions available for audition. One of the nice aspects of an EXO is the ability of changing crossovers in about 2 minutes
Additional crossovers will also be made available to those who have a pair of our Extreme Adagio speakers. With the Adagio and Adagio Jr. having the same crossover.................hmmm... the possibilities
