Ethan Winer on Digg!
« on: 27 Feb 2006, 05:29 am »
I'm usually just a lurker, but I lurk here often enough to recognize the Mr. Winer's name on digg.com.  (Digg, for all those who don't know is basically a news page that uses user votes for an article to judge what's interesting).

Here's the quote from digg -
"This is a pretty amazing video of Ethan Winer playing 37 separate cello parts to create one song. He even plays the percussion parts on his cello. It was recorded on 23 tracks using 37 plug-in effects. He spent hundreds of hours on this project so its worth a listen. -dealcatcher"

And here's the link to the video.  It's a tad slow right now, probably due to heavy demand, but from I've downloaded so far its definetly a treat.

Enjoy!  (and sorry if this was posted before!)

I found the video by accident. Ethan's a genius! My daughter plays cello (age 16) and loved it.
It may be old news but here's an

WOW!         That was awesome!

Really enjoyed the "rock guitar symphony of epic proportions" too.

Ethan's got a truckload of serious talent! :thumb:  Thanks for sharing.
