I just got this reply from an engineer at Adcom:

What you are pointing out is a typographical error, it should be noted as being a channel reverse selector switch, not as
a polarity switch.

Mine works as expected - it is not hooked up right now but I tried it when I bought it and there was no inversion of L and R channels. I listen to a lot of classical orchestral music so it would have been an immediate give away.

In my room I am actually listening in reverse mode for better bass integration so I would have picked it up quickly.

I'll give it another try but I am 99% confident mine works as a phase inverter not channel inverter.

So, it's that pesky 1% at work here, I guess!
