Using smART DAC as a Headphone DAC?
«

I have a smart DAC and was wondering what the routing would be in order to use it as a Headphone DAC.
Seeing that I was using a Passive Controller Wayne just used 7v audiograde Output resistors in. I imagine that might be more than enough gain for using with Headphones.Am I wrong about that?
Just thinking of what I can do with the unit if I do not sell it as I just bought a Panasonic XR-45. Looking for options.
Thanks!

Larry,
While the gain may be plenty, you do need more current to drive a set of headphones.
There are quite a few people who use the ART DI/O in dedicated headphone systems. They use it to drive a purpose designed, headphone amp.
