This amp looks very good.
Note: For a typical 2,000 cu. ft. room the room gain plus 3 dB gain for having two channels roughly balances out the loss from sitting back more than the standard 1 meter distance. So you can usually use the efficiency rating for 1 watt at 1 meter to see how loud a given speaker can get.
Just one more sound pressure level related comment:
Extended exposure to sound pressure levels greater than 85 dB can cause permanent hearing loss. So I wouldn't recommend some of the HT spl's quoted above. Symphonic music can reach 105 dB. So 80 dB continuous and 105 dB instantaneous levels should be reasonable goals in achieving sound pressure levels. Many folks happily live with less than 105 dB. If you haven't played with one I highly recommend getting a hold of a sound pressure meter and learning what 80 dB, 90 dB, etc. sounds like using it with a test tones, like Stereophile test CD's, to determine your in room system response.
