Some Australian flora

A couple of weekends ago I took my LX2 compact on a "scouting trip" across to West Head. I had finally gotten around to getting myself a National Parks pass, so off I went. Here are a few pictures from that trip. More trips planned in future
Heath-leaved banksia
. Or
banksia ericifolia
. This is a young plant at the side of the road.
Acacia
. I'm not sure which species this is.
Burrawang
. Or
macrozamia communis
. This is a very slow-growing plant, I know this because the ones in my garden I planted 5 years ago are about 6 inches tall. This one is as tall as me, in a forest of them.
Grass-tree
. I think this one is
xanthorrhoea johnsonii
. These are very slow-growing also, and very long-lived. The leaves in the crown burn off in a fire but regenerate rapidly. The burnt trees are banksias that didn't recover from the last fire.
