I have a pair of Alon Model I's that are in great condition. They sound spectacular and disappear like few other speakers. I'd put them head to head against Totem Sttaf or Arro -- except the Alon's have better bass.

They've been taken care of meticulously. The woofers were rebuilt by Bill LeGall in May 2007. He straightened and damped the frames; balanced, damped and treated the cones; and refoamed the surrounds. There was a nice improvement in bass when they came back.
