Hey guys,

I completed the building of this cabinet a long time ago and I never seem to find the time to set them up properly. I have used them with a Behringer DCX2496 but with few adjustments to any settings.

I am hoping someone would like to give these speakers a proper home. If someone is interested I have four Peerless (830491) XLS 8" woofers that I wanted to use with these. That would make one nice setup.

I would like to get $525/OBO + shipping for the 2-ways.

The cabinets have been glued together and sanded. There is bracing in place with walls lined with Whispermat.

I am willing to sell a modded DCX2496 with the speaker if there is interest.

I am putting these speakers through their paces right now and they are something else.  They image unlike any loudspeaker I have heard before.  If only I could get them to sound right.

Anyway, I am sorry for the shameless plug.  I really want to see someone get these to sound their absolute best!

Thanks all,
Tyler

Added more pictures that I hope show the quality of the cabinet build.

"...if only i could get them to sound right..."  does not seem like a shameless plug, to me.  unless you don't wanna really sell 'em...     what doesn't "sound right" about 'em?  if you're using a modded behringer dcx249x, i am confused as to why you would have any trouble at all getting them to sound right...

What were you using below 300hz?

I was using a pair of Peerless XLS 8" (830491) woofers per side.

I could not get them to sound right because I have no time to set-up any measurement software.  I did not try to implement any time delay, proper crossover points or SPL level adjustments.  I learned from this project that I greatly prefer the simplicity of a passive crossover and only 2-channels of amplification.

Someone please give these speakers a deserving home!

I will throw in SoundEasy and the Music & Design learning software for an extra $100 with the speakers.

I also have a Behringer mic, a stand and a pre to add to the deal is someone wants.  This is everything one would need to tinker with to help make these speakers magical.
