I really don't do multichannel HT but I am looking to upgrade/replace my cd player and I have been looking at late model DVD players. If I am reading the specs right it appears that digital pcm audio over 48Kz sample rate is not output over normal toslink/coax but only via HDMI/HDCP.
My google search engine must be broken because I can't find any DAC's which have HDMI/HDCP
Is there such a thing? How can I get 96K/24 or 192K/24 digital out of one of these new DVD players and get high end D/A conversion before sending to my 2 Channel pre-amp?
