Can anyone recommend a relatively cheap power supply upgrade for the Squeezebox Duet? I've been looking for a couple of months for something, and I haven't been able to find anything yet. I know that Bolder, CI Audio, and Welborne have PSU's available, but I'd prefer not to spend $200-300 on a new power supply. I'm also okay if it's a DIY project, as long as it's not overly complicated. Thanks ahead of time for the help.
Emac,The best way to get a cheap DIY PS for your Duet is to buy a high quality switching 9V PS (double the ampere of the stock one) then build a Felix as described in the Lab AC by Occam, GBB, Gordy, JoshK, etc... I built it for my Duet and the combination sounds much better than stock PS. The cost is less than $100. Good luck,Tan

What switching 9V PS would you recommend? This one I got from ebay:
Here's a much better linear PSU solution for your DUET:Acopian -B9G50(9VDC .5 amp) Cost- $100.www.acopian.com/ These power supplies have screw terminals. You'll need an AC power cable and a DC cable and plug. Make sure you check the stock wall wart for the correct polarity on the DC plug. PS- The Duet receiver doesn't need more than .5ampsPPS- This PSU doesn't need a Felix.
emac or jhm731,I have an Acopian power supply.I just received it and thanks for the recommendation jhm731I have my DC plug wired up to the output. The input screw terminals for AC show:LNand another symbol that's a circle with some lines in it. I'll buy a power cord and strip the ends but I have no idea what L N and the other symbol are and how to hook up the power cord to the screw terminals? I'm sure this is easy if you know what the symbols stand for.I think the circle type symbol is the ground and I would assume the green wire screws to that. Are the L and N for the black and white wires and does it matter which is hooked to which? (polarity doesn't matter on the AC input?)Can either of you help or someone else that is electrically minded as I don't have a clue! Thanks.
