"Jumper"

I watched "Jumper" last night.  It was an entertaining SiFi Flick, not great but not bad.  The movie was full of special effects, some of which were pretty good.  I would rate the movie at 6.5 out of a possible 10 stars.  It is worth seeing and certainly better than the reality tv shows that all of the networks are currently airing!

I thought about the same, I'd probably rate it a 7.5 ... mainly because it looked fantastic on Blu-Ray.

My understanding is that they have plans for a trilogy of Jumper films. After seeing the critics crap on it, I wasn't sure I'd be all that crazy about it, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. It didn't make a lot of money domestically, but when I saw how much it made internationally (according to boxofficemojo.com), I was more confident that they would continue with the franchise. I'm not sure why this film was 3-4 times more popular abroad than it was here, but whatever it takes to get the next movie made, I'm in!

haha, this movie was sooooo bad I was actually laughing out loud during much of it.  Sam Jackson is not a very convincing bad guy, and that hair!  It was a cheezy movie that tried to take itself too seriously.

I was disappointed with the movie, mostly because it deviated from the original book in some really silly ways. The book wasn't great, but I thought it was far better than the movie. Why is that almost always the case?

Because you have the good fortune of being literate. :green:

I thought both he and the hair were pretty convincing in Pulp Fiction.

I liked the movie myself and especially Samual Jackson. The man is a total badass when he plays "bad guy" parts. The ending was as good an example of "hard love" as I've ever seen. 8)

3 out of 5 stars. :D

Cheers,
Robin
