I was just boxing up the Stratos to ship, and I broke a speaker connector on the back!  Ack!  I need to get this thing fixed, the buyer has already paid for it.  What's the quickest way to get/fix this connector?

Mark,

I suggest calling Klaus and arranging to ship it to him for repair and have him ship it to your buyer. That way you are assured of getting a matching binding post and having it installed correctly so the warranty isn't affected.

You could purchase a new pair of WBT posts but of course you would have to wait for them to arrive and then install them.

Luck!

Yes, thanks for that advice.  I've got the background to do the work and was poking around for the right part # for WBT posts, but all things considered, Klaus has gotten rid of the complications.  The Stratos is going in for a checkup, and then on to the buyer.  And maybe he wants upgrades?  We'll see.

I think  he should.  Now, speaking of which. A little something about this.  He's got martin Logans and a multi-channel Denon receiver.  One complaint is brightness, and I didn't have much to say on that, heck I have a Denon 2 channel amp, and if anything the Odyssey seems brighter than the Denon, but I know it isn't.  It just doesn't sluff off at the ends of the frequency range.

There are all kinds of comments I've been looking for on what happens to the sound of the Stratos when it goes to xTreme.  In the context of musicality, immediacy, any comments?  In the context of tonality or timber, any comments?

Well, I just got a stereo Stratos modded to a stereo extrene and it sounds very close to the regular monoblocks. Just more refined than the stereo Stratos. If somebody suggests that their Stratos sounds a bit on the bright side, I would take a look at the preamp or the preamp section of the processor or the room. It can influence the sound. I think I remember reading a few complaints about Denon receivers being a tad on the bright side.
