I recently bought these on Audiogon because I wanted to try a nice set of single-driver speakers, and these came a long at a very good price. I still prefer my (much more expensive) two-ways, though these single-drivers are nice. I bought these from the builder who, as you can see from the photos, did a very good job. These speakers have none of the boominess that I've heard from some single-driver speakers.
The 0.5 cu. ft. cabinets are from Part Express. I was suprised at how well made these relatively inexpensive cabinets are. They're solid and pretty much non-resonant. Not doubt there's some internal bracing in there. The only flaw is a little blemish 2mm x 6mm on the top, at the back, of one of the cabinets.
