SWL 9.0 SE Signature on the way
« on: 29 Apr 2008, 09:14 pm »
I like my SWP phono stage so much that I ordered a brand spankin' new SWL 9.0SE Signature today.  Yipee! :D

I will run the SWL into a McIntosh MC275 and my Harbeths.  I am entertaining the thought of going with a solid state (maybe digital) amp ultimately.  I think the Harbeth C7ES3 could use a little more punch.  Perhaps the SWL will provide it as a preamp, though, since it is likely to be much more dynamic than my outgoing McIntosh C220.  We'll see about that...

The SWL 9.0 Sig. will provide a great deal of  "punch." It is very dynamic with great bass.

Dan has also been working on a SS amp, although I don't know what it's status is at the moment.

Late summer at this point, RE the amp.  Definitely will be in use at RMAF!

Thanks,

Dan

Hmmm...  an amp!  Could you please provide a little more info?  Is it going to be purely solid state, or will there be tubes in some part of the circuitry?  RMS power ratings?  Price range?

Thanks.
