Where to buy acoustic foam for stuffing diffusor cavities?

I took some old Sonex foam panels, cut them up, and stuffed sections of them into the fins in some of my GIK D1 diffusors.  I've got a few unfilled GIK D1 diffusors, so I was wondering if there was a place where I could buy relatively small quantities of safe, compressable acoustic foam.  I could use any added bass absorption I can get...

Thanks!

Other than the itching you might try a roll of R13 OC pink and compress the heck out of it as you pack it in.  But you'd probably have to tape it down so it didn't expand later.  How agout a roll of cotton batting from Joann Fabrics?  Probably cost you $10.  And it won't make you itch.  Personal opinion is the cavity is so small it will not provide much bass trapping but the biggest issue is to keep the plastic from vibrating.

Actually, it you don't damp it too much like you did Pete, it acts like a variable depth minimally damped membrane absorber.  It has enough depth to work surprisingly low - although it's not a ton of square footage nor is it going to give you a 1.0 coefficient for absorbtion in the bass.  It all depends on what you want out of them.

Using standard insulation in the rear is as or more effective as foam, although as Pete said, you'd have to do something to hold it in.  The cotton batting would work well too.
