Hiya!

Can anyone tell me if iTunes can duplicate a CD without compression?

Yes. 

Open Preferences, go to the Advanced Tab, select the Importing tab and then choose either AIFF or WAV encoder.  Those are both full resolution, uncompressed. 

I think AIFF does better with the metadata if I recall right.

AIFF is much better with meta data and cover art. Both are uncompressed and provide stellar sound.
