Photos of Bryston Products

Thought it would be fun to share images of the innards of different Bryston products.
Here’s a link to my late model 3B ST which came from Bryston in 2003 but the actual date code is 9932.
Maybe we could set up a detailed  image bank of Bryston’s products released over the last 20 years or so for future reference.

I just use the 'indicator lights' on the front...if they are flashing red....I just add a litre

I don't think it is a problem removing the cover.  I've had my SP1.7 open a few times to upgrade the firmware (2 chips) and even upgraded a few more SP1.7s for others.  Other than that I don't want to know what is inside anything.  Most of the other times I've opened electronic devices (non-Bryston) is a few times to fix broken pieces of solder over the years, for people who have a CD stuck in a changer or to clean out a CD player or cassette deck.  I'm not going to touch anything else - I know better and know my limitations  :nono: (much better at listening vs. repairing).

Outside of introducing new models NRB-ST-SST etc I often noticed Bryston quietly improves on the current models with revisions. For example the late model ST’s and the preamps had different (improved) connectors on the input and output boards, even the top plate is different on the 3B; only obvious when comparing images.
Also going by the schematics the 3BST has the capacitors at 10,000/63v but the photo surely shows 12,000/63v, (a revision or were all the 3BST’s the same?).
I remember even twenty years ago not being able to use cables given to me by another Bryton user, we both had the .5 preamp but mine being an earlier version by a few months could not  accommodate the RCA connectors as the hole surrounding the jacks were smaller.

For some I believe this curiosity is all apart of the hobby outside of the most important thing, listening to music.
