power cord for Stratos
« on: 3 Mar 2008, 05:26 pm »
Hi guys,
Is the stock power cord that comes with the stratos a 3pin type ( with earth, neutral and live) or two pin type ? I am talking about the side which goes into the mains.
What is your experience with the stock power cord ?

Thanks.

Three pin. :) The stock power cord is perfectly sufficient in my opinion. Heavy gauge.

I've used heavyduty black ones, and the Gronenbergs in the past. The Gronenbergs are a little smoother, and will be changing all all the source equipment to Gronenbergs in the near future.

Gronebergs are still the best choice for Odyssey Electronics

Done Gronebergs. I prefer cryoed VH Audio Flavor 4s on the Extreme Monos, the cryoed Flavor 2 on the Tempest, and a cryoed Flavor 1 on my cdp. Also have read that Black Sand Cables PCs work well with Odyssey gear including the Extreme Monos.

YMMV.

Wanted to say that I do have a couple of Groneberg PCs from Klaus that I would sell if anyone is interested.  One is 5' the other is 6'.

If interested, please PM me.
