Zero not sure if you’ve already got your Lector or how much you have to spend? If you have not got a player yet and have plenty of money then check out the Nagra CD player.

I had this player against an SME Model 20 / SME V arm / Lyra Skala cartridge believe me this player held it’s own. The SME Model 20 is not exactly a lightweight Vinyl player as most Vinyl addicts know it’s one serious player.

Check out the Nagra www.nagraaudio.com/highend/index.php and it looks amazing.

Chris,

The Lector landed a week or two ago. I would love to play with the Nagra. Hell, I'd love to play in that class - period!

I'll tell ya-- I've compared my Lector CDP 0.6T to so many sources by now-- I cant count.  Some do some things better and some do other things better, but in terms of the balance of merits-- the Lector is tough to beat.

I WOULD like to try a hot-shot DAC with it at some point-- say the Monarchy NM24 or an Audio Note.

It certainly could be a touch more dynamic and maye a hair brighter for my tastes-- but balance Daniel-san-- that its got.

Glad you liked my review  :D

I just got a Softone Model 3 and am using it with a MHDT Labs Paradisea + USB DAC. I installed OIMP V caps on the output. The combo sounds as good or better that my 47 Labs Flatfish and Progression DAC. I sold the 47 Labs. The CDP is a killer transport. I bought the DAC as a lark to get my feet wet in computer audio. With a good transport and power cord this DAC is excellent.

I bought their phono pre too and it is mighty fine....and affordable.  :thumb:
