Hi,Could someone please tell me if the BP-26 has a HT pass-through?Thanks!
Hi James,Thanks for your reply! If that's the case perhaps I'm just better off replacing my existing pre/pro (Rotel RSP-985) with the SP2. Is this unit on par with the BP-26 in the 2 channel department?

Is this unit on par with the BP-26 in the 2 channel department?Hi Oyama,That's a tough question. The SP2 has the same gain stage as the BP26 but it has internal power supplies so there is a small advantage in the noise floor area in favor of the outboard power supply (MPS-2) with the BP26. Also the BP26 has Balanced inputs so that may be a feature you want. I would say in an A/B test between the SP2 STEREO BYPASS mode and the BP26 it would be very close indeed.james

I'd definitely agree with that from what I heard in a direct comparison. Another friend who also has the SP1.7 as I do, wanted to hear the capabilities of the SP2 vs. BP26. There was a slight level of refinement in the BP26. I listened to it with the potential thought of selling the SP1.7 and going with the BP26 and a rec'r for HT duty. I did not hear enough of a difference (and neither did my friend) to justify the expenditure.
