Just out of curiousity with all the mods on the market if a unit is in need of repair who does the repair work? ie: Slim Devices SB3 with Boulder's mods or Slim Devices Transporter with Modwright's mods, just who will do the repair work if needed? Thanks!

i would make that inquiry with your "modder" of choice. most of my equipment has been modified to one degree or another by apl hi-fi. i've had a couple of non-modification related issues and alex has always been there to take care of them. i don't really know of any manufacturer that will work on their own units once they've been modified anyway. ymmv of course.
