nuforce 8.02 and fm inteference?
« on: 1 Sep 2007, 11:55 pm »
I'm actually looking into getting a pair of nuforce 8.02 but have some worries. The fm interference issue.I have great fm reception now with my receiver. My  ant. is actually an OTA outside connected via cable to my rec. It's an outdoor  ant.from RS for my HD local channel that is doing double duty via splitter for Hd local and fm ant.I'm wondering if i would still get the fm interference the way i'm setup.thanks

With outdoor antenna, you should get good FM reception.  If you're buying from the used market, there is no refund.  If you can consider upgrading to V2, then there won't be any FM interference issue.

We are now offering $400 as trade-in credit toward Ref 8.5V2.
We'll announce a V2 and power supply upgrade for Ref 8 to Ref 8V2. The upgrade price is expected to be $550 and will transform the Ref 8 into 200W V2 amp.

If you intend to continue to upgrade from Ref 8.5V2 toward other higher end models, then you should go with the trade-in program.

We confirmed that existing V2 boards can be installed on Ref 8.
The upgrade cost is $500 total (1 V2 board and a new 200W power supply). We keep the price low to take care of old customers.
