Is performace effected by implanting the speakers in the walls?
That is never my first choice when placing a speaker, but many compromises seem to crop up in projects like these.
In this case however, the biggest detriment is the convergence, or ability to cause the sound to intersect by toeing the speakers in. But due to the distance from the speakers this is not as significant, and since you have "multiple" listening positions it cannot be done perfectly for all.
Also the RM40s and possibly the RM30 will be run with the CDWG's off. The normal focused then of the speaker will cause a pretty good coverage of the listening area.
For all intent and purposes, both are Line Sources from 280hz up. which at those listening distances and dispersions works well. The properties of the ribbon/planar LS also maintain rather high SPL's at greater distances than typical cone arrangements.
This of course is not designed for maximum 2 channel audiophile listening, nor could it be.
What is not shown is an additional LARGER SUB positioned in the rear of the room behind the listening position, in reverse phase.
