Alpha LS repair success!!!

Danny:
I received the replacement neo panel and replaced it with the one that went bad.  My "music" is back.  It may have been going out for quite some time without my realizing it causing a slow degradation of sound quality.  Because, when I replaced it, WOW, instant new system.

The bad neo had some "flaking" material inside the front panel elongated holes.  I though 'ah ha" this must be the problem...until I noticed this same condition on many of the neos.  Anything to be concerned about?

Thanks,
Tom

It could be some ferrous material of some kind (metal shavings) that the magnets have picked up. If so no worries. It won't make it all the way to the diaphragm. It will just make it in as far as the magnets. You might can pick it out with some tweezers or something (plastic ones).

If it is something else (non-metallic) then you might can gently blow it out.
