I wonder if audio circuity has changed in the past say 25 years.

So recently my interest in vinyl has come back. But up until
now I have not been happy with what I've heard. With this setup I'm now using reminds me of the way vinyl sounded.

So that's why I'm wondering if the audio circuity has changed somewhat to cater to the CD world and forget about the vinyl guys. Just my thoughts. Probably wrong but who knows there might be some truth in what I'm saying.

Charlie - there has not been significant 'upgrades' except perhaps the CD/DVD in 25 years it seems...I am at the same place you are.  Deliriously happy with music, spun on a turntable.

The few years I had only a CDP as my hi-resolution source, even as it escalated in expense, was the worst music-lovin' period in my life  :(

Merely thru happenstance, due to the fact that there has been no great advance in electronics, all my equipment is vintage now (20+ years old) except my speakers. Only the manufacturers of today would have you believe there is a lot of advance going on. Especially in vinyl...the changes have been nuanced, only.

Seems to me there is a whole lot more marketing hyperbole and whole lot less quality engineering, overall, today  :o

Your makin' good sense again, Dad (homage to WEEZ with that  :| )
