Well first off, you gotta understand the guy is in grad school, and the Ack is not his primary concern.  As a hobby, I am sure it takes a back seat to any educational related things he might have going on.

I don't see how he does it anyway.  Grad school is tough enough without trying to run a bidness too!

Hi guys,

It's not grad school that's holding things up, he's been out of town and unable to check email.  He's back in action and is busy assembling several dAcks to cover orders.  I'm sure Chris will  return your email very soon.
