Now a music magazine has adopted the Radiohead donation model. For a limited time, Paste Magazine is allowing people to pay what they want for a one-year subscription. Keep in mind each issue comes with a compilation CD, so a subscription was a good deal to begin with. The minimum fee is $1, there is no processing fee and one-year renewals are permitted.

I'm not familiar with Paste magazine.  Is it online only or is it "real".  What type of music do they report on and what are their sample CD's like?  I've been looking for a new music magazine since Q magazine became prohibitively expensive due to the plunge in the value of the dollar.

Looking at the main site has answered all my questions.  It looks like just what I am looking for.  Does anyone here remember the Huh magazine?  the magazine itself was not that good, but each month they sent a great sampler CD.  I still have them and listen to them once in a while.
