This is not really a tweak because it is something that will remain with you for as long as you listen with traditional box speakers with dynamic drivers.  Click on the www. button below my avatar.  There is a little interesting music on the site courtesy of me, as well.

This should really be in the "industry features" circle.

Absolutely...Jim, you also need full disclosure as to what you do...please see here for more on this: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=41871.0

This was a response to another thread.  You make it seem like I opened the thread.  I did not.  I am respectful and don't know how much more there is for me to disclose.  My avatar is pretty self revealing.  I'll review my profile and see if I left something out.  If I did, it was not intentional.  I just replied to an inquiry about affordable "tweaks" and thought maybe the most discreet way to do this was to refer interested readers off site.  But I'll take any advice on how I might have done this.  Or, perhaps, you would have prefered that I had taken a pass altogether.

Jim,

It was I who moved your post from Audio Central and used it to create a new topic in Industry Ads.  I did so because of the following snippet -

"You are not permitted to discuss or "pitch" your product or services outside of the areas below, except for the purpose of clarifying or adding additional factual information."

The above is a direct quote taken from the Industry Participants policy set forth by site management, and the "areas" in "outside of the areas below" refers to Industry Ads and Industry Talk.  You can (and should) read the remainder by clicking on the embedded link in the preceding sentence, or alternatively you may click on the url in TheChairGuy's post above.

No one is picking on you, Jim.  We realize you're new here, and whether or not you can see it yet, we're trying to help.  The alternative was to send your post to the Intergalactic Wastebin, so I hope you realize this was clearly the best option for you and your business.

As for your avatar being "pretty self revealing", I would dispute that.  It does not adhere to the full disclosure policy of the site, nor is there any mention of whether you're a fan of the product, a retailer or the manufacturer.  Again, I believe if you'll take the time to read through the policies TheChairGuy and I have provided links for, you'll save yourself a lot of grief.

Again, Jim, no one here is upset or angry with you in any way.  We're trying to help, and you'll make it a lot easier if you'll set aside 5 minutes and read the Industry Participant policy thread.

Regards,

Jim/Double Ugly
Facilitator, Audio Central

Not at all, Jim.  As I said, no one is angry, nor are they offended.  You didn't know about the policies, so we showed you the way to them, that's all.

Thanks for understanding.  I look forward to reading more of your posts, and to learning more about you and your products.  :thumb:

Cool Jim (Goulding) - thanks  :thumb:  We're all volunteers here, Jim, nobody is really management except JohnR - who owns this shindig called AudioCircle.

I read and see that as an industry participant I was to have spelled out my business in my signature, that what I had put in my avatar wasn't sufficiently clear.  I believe that I have done that now.  Sorry about any ripples caused.  I value being included in the conversations here and what I get from it.  Hope that I am contributing something, too.   Please advise if there is anything further that's needed of me.  Thanks.  Jim

Thanks for the corrections, Jim.
If you like, you can start a new thread talking about your product in
Industry Talk, or
Post a sales ad in the Industry Ads circle.

Good luck,
