VMPS helping to bring up the "young audiophiles"

I remember when I was in college and just starting to get into the hobby.

I had a mentor (my track and strength coach, who had a Garrard TT, Scott Receiver and JBL or Altec speakers) who guided me to my first true system.

I get some great e-mails from clients and customers enjoying their systems, but this one brought back the "old days" and trying to get "that sound" as a student on a budget.

(I have blocked the competitor sub name)

It reads:

Hi John,

I've got everything setup, no problems, but I'm still playing around
with my crossover, trying to find a good crossover point for the Larger
Sub, might take a few days to get it right where I want, but that's just
takes some listening, I'll get it right eventually.  I've got to say,
that this subwoofer is awesome!  I have a feeling that it would be
difficult to match the musicality, accuracy, and raw power that this
brings to the table.  It was quite clear that this completely outmatches
the "OTHER SUB" that I had before, and in EVERY department, the "OTHER SUB" wasn't very
musical, wasn't particularly detailed, and never really blended well
with my B&W mains, and - NEVER even came close to the levels that I've
heard this play at!  I've got my handy Radio Shack SPL meter, and the
highest that the Larger has been driven is 110dB, which is still far
below what I have a feeling it is capable of, as I don't want to drive
it that hard until it's fully broken in.  I had an absolute blast
yesterday playing video games, it appears as this probably has the sheer
power to shake the plaster from the walls!  Thanks John for your
excellent service.
