Why K.O.B is the greatest album
« on: 11 Sep 2003, 01:23 am »
Well, over the past week and a half I've been breaking in my speakers, almost 12 hours a day while I've tried to be around for much of it.  At least 3 or 4 times a day, every day, I'd pop in some Miles Davis.  After well over 100 listenings in the past week, I love it more than ever :).

Also, despite it's age, I think KOB is a wonderful album to note the evolution of a speaker during break in process.  There's so much inflection, timbre, and harmonic content in this album - it's a great benchmark to assess the change in the "character" of speakers; this is to say the voicing, and accuracy.

Kind Regards,

Rup

That and Take 5 seem to find their way into rotation here quite often.

Have you heard Dis Is Da Drum by Herbie Hancock. It will definitely give them a workout.
