Have you ever fallen asleep while listening to your tunes? Then you're pulled out of your sleep by a song that you've heard before, but this time you've become obsessed by just how good it is. This has happened a couple of times to me, and I catagorize these songs in a league of their own, Masterpieces of Art, for I consider most songs I like as meeting the art status and worthy of hi-end audio play.
What I look for foremost in music is the song structure. I hate music that has a commercial type sound. I can't really discribe it but I know when I hear it, and it sucks.
My renter wanted me to play a song for him on my stereo cause he just loves it. Unfortuneatly for me it had that commercial cookie cutter sound and gave it the thumbs down. Likewise however he couldn't see what I like in the song I played for him.
Generally when working I listen to pop music, classic hits that is accepted by most people as being good. Home audio is reserved for Art.
I just wanted to ramble, it all comes down to personal taste, even though your taste sucks. I guess mine does too.
